Airbnb books a new service to provide travelers with an itinerary.
The San Francisco company launched Airbnb Trips, a program that gives users a list of thing to do in the area of their destination.
The program, in an effort to compete with hotels that have similar services, will provide consumers the option of creating their own trip itinerary through an application. Additionally, the application will create a platform for companies and local business to advertise and promote to Airbnb’s 60 million active monthly users.
Expedia and TripAdvisor have attracted investor interest with activity booking options as of late, and Airbnb needs to do the same. The sharing-economy- poster firm, according to Bloomberg, is attempting to raise $850 million on a staggering $30 billion valuation.
